Young Leaders Initiative World strives to uplift vulnerable communities through various initiatives and programs dedicated to its mission of healing, inspiring, and empowering.

Creating a more inclusive, equitable, and empathy-centered world by empowering vulnerable communities and supporting grassroots solutions in education, mental health, and youth leadership, aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals: 1, 3, 4, and 17.

Healing, inspiring, and empowering vulnerable individuals and communities. We support people facing mental health challenges, uplift women-led and grassroots businesses, and motivate young people to become leaders in their communities and take meaningful action through awareness, skill building, and community empowerment.

𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀:

In collaboration and partnership with other provincial, national & international organizations and government agencies, YLI WORLD identifies and connects vulnerable communities to donors. It also facilitates and organizes capacity-building workshops, skill-building trainings, and community-building events for those communities in dire need, providing networking opportunities & helping youth access empowering networks, programs, and organizations within the sector locally and internationally.

Founder & CEO

Sediqa Sarwari

Sediqa Sarwari planted the seed of Young Leaders Initiative World in 2023, steadily building its foundation through 2025. She brings over a decade of experience in the social services sector in Canada and internationally, along with governance and advisory roles with equity-based, survivor-centered organizations such as VAST BC and CanAssist at the University of Victoria. A community leader, human rights advocate, and published author, Sediqa is committed to transforming lived experiences, ideas, and skills into meaningful action. Guided by healing-centered practices and the transformative power of storytelling, she ensures that YLI World remains a platform where vision becomes impact and ideas lead to real-world change through mentorship and trauma-informed leadership.

Director of Community Well being

Sediqa Timori

Sediqa Temori, MA, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC) with over a decade of experience in mental health practice, education, research, and community-based programming in Canada and internationally. Grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approaches, she has worked with organizations such as VAST BC, CARE International, and Enfants d’Afghanistan to advance ethical, inclusive, and accessible mental health initiatives. Through her leadership with Young Leaders Initiative World, Sediqa integrates healing-centered care, capacity building, and community wellbeing to support communities and emerging leaders in transforming lived experience into resilience, collective action, and sustainable social impact.

Director of Education & Programs

Oula Almadhoun

Oula Almadhoun is currently completing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership, Policy, and Governance at the University of Calgary, She brings over a decade of experience in grants and research administration across nonprofit and social service organizations in the United States and Canada. As a leader in education and program development, she supports sustainable initiatives through strategic planning, donor engagement, compliance, and partnership building. Oula is deeply committed to advancing equity, access, and opportunity for youth, immigrants, and newcomers. Through her role with Young Leaders Initiative World, she strengthens educational pathways and inclusive programs that empower communities and emerging leaders and turn knowledge, resources, and vision into lasting community impact.

Director of Financial Empowerment

Sare Soltan

Sare Soltan is a Senior Marketing Director and licensed financial professional with nearly a decade of experience in personal finance, debt management, retirement planning, and comprehensive protection strategies. She works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to build financial clarity, reduce risk, and create long-term, tax-efficient security. Passionate about equity and empowerment, Sare mentors and trains young entrepreneurs to become financially independent, develop strong business foundations, and grow into ethical, people-centered financial leaders. Her education-driven approach supports YLI World’s mission to foster sustainable success and community impact.
